The coating weight will directly affect the
durability of all types of coatings. Too little coating will allow wood
fibers to penetrate the film and wick moisture causing early film
failure. |
Do not over-thin coating! Use a wet mil gauge
during application and follow the manufacturer's application spreading
rates. Assist new spray personnel in establishing a pattern for 1 proper
application. |

NOTE: Normally 4 to 5 dry mils, after sanding is
recommended for proper coating weight. |
